When Melissa reached out several months ago about scheduling a session for her family during the holidays, I was super excited! She explained that she lived in Virginia with her husband & daughter but would be traveling to visit her parents & sister back in Florida & thought it would be a good opportunity for some updated portraits. I loved this idea! I'm always on board with the idea of including grandparents in sessions, so this was right up my alley. And let me tell you- these grandparents LOVE their granddaughter.
We met up at her parent's farm the day after Christmas, & fortunately the weather was perfect. Not too hot, not too cold, and we had some gorgeous natural light. They had plenty of picturesque spots in the front yard, so we didn't even need to travel far!
I loved getting to know the family a little better & hearing their history, & it truly felt like our time together was too short. Melissa, thank you so much for allowing me to photograph your awesome family!
