I was so excited to finally spend time with Meagan (outside of email & a bridal show!) and finally meet her fiance, David. We met at La Chua Trail at Paynes Prairie, and we nearly had the entire place to ourselves. I learned the story of how they met, how wedding planning was going, & their plans for the future. David couldn't have been any more go-with-the-flow during the session, and it's so obvious how deep his love runs for his soon-to-be bride!
Meagan sent me a picture of her dress a few weeks prior, and I was even more excited for their session! It's one of those items you see in your Instagram feed as a sponsored ad, and I fell more in love with the dress every time I saw it. The iridescent sequins were such a perfect contrast to the natural landscape of the prairie.
A few blocks from the prairie, I noticed a road leading into a parking lot for Boulware Springs Park, which is a trail head for the Hawthorne Trail. Since I was pretty early, I pulled in just to do a "drive-by" and couldn't believe I've been neglecting this gem of a location. I mentioned my find to Meagan & David, and they were game to be my "test subjects" at this new spot!
